Over the last decade, significant advances have been made in the research leading to the realisation of the Virtual Physiological Human Institute (VPHi) vision of the so-called in-silico medicine. Successful experiences have been reported in relevant scientific publications and presentations, but the spread of computer models & simulations is not always reflected timely and accurately in the literature. Hence, a web survey, “Mapping the use of computer modelling & simulation in clinics”, recently designed by University College of London (UCL) in collaboration with the VPHi, is currently being circulated to take a snapshot of the current status of in-silico medicine and get insights on applications, level of acceptance and current barriers to its full adoption in the clinics. The results of this survey will be openly shared with all the community.
We thus invite clinicians to take part in the survey (it should take you not more than 5 minutes) and, if possible, share it with your collaborators.
